A brief is more about the why than the how

How to develop a good brief

Most people come to us with a request for a particular service.  In order to respond to this "brief", it is important that we get the right information.

Here are some questions that you could be useful in writing a brief:

  1. What are you trying to "say" or "sell"?
  2. How do you want to come across?
  3. Who do you want to talk to or who is your target market or audience?
  4. What solutions do you have in mind?
  5. What is your budget?
  6. When would you like it to be done?
  7. Do you have any examples of someone else doing the same thing (good or bad!)
